The Twinners....

Well...finally some good news. The twins Mom has decided that she is not a mother, and wants us to adopt the girls. YEAH!!! I don't have to tell you how happy this makes us!!!!

What a difference a few months makes....

Hi Everyone. I have really been terrible about keeping up with my blog. Life is just so very busy. And we have had a horrible time lately. Todd's Dad, Arlan, died 2 1/2 weeks ago. He had been ill for quite a while, but his illness was under control. He was hospitalized for something minor, and ended up having a heart attack, and was put on life support. As a family, we made the decision to remove him from it when it was discovered that there was no neurological function. I don't have to tell you how horrible and heart-breaking this situation has been for all of us. Just remember to love the people who are most important to you in your life, because we never know how much time we will have. Rest in peace Papa Arlan!

Christmas 2006

And what a great Christmas it was! It was so great to be all together for our first Christmas. Expectations were very high, and it pretty much went off without a hitch. The girls were so excited and loved having all of thier family around. If it was up to them, everyone they love would live in one house. But someday they are in for a harsh reality because that just can't happen. Santa was very good to the girls, and they were such a joy to watch. Although poor JJ was sick and didn't get to enjoy much of it. We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas as well!

Today Is My 40th Birthday!

So...today is my 40th birthday. I don't feel any different really, just when I look in the mirror and I see all of my new wrinkles and gray hair. Yeah! LOL! I plan to spend my day just relaxing with the twins! Hope you are all having a great holiday season!

My Best Friend Toni Is A Grandma!!!!!

My best friend Toni Lynn just became a grandma on Thursday! Yeah! Her daughter Sarah Ann and her husband Brandon welcomed beautiful Gaven into the world! Isn't he gorgeous! I am a brand new Great Aunt! Can't wait to hold him! Auntie loves you Gaven and I will see you really soon!

Christmas Is Coming!!!

Well, Christmas is in full bloom around the Smith House! The twins are getting so very excited! It is so much fun to watch their faces light up when they realize a new present has been placed under the tree. Unfortunately for them they think all of the presents are for them...HaHa! I can't wait for Christmas morning when we get to share in their christmas joy. Todd and I are very much looking forward to our first Christmas together. Our house will be over-flowing with the Smith Clan. My dad is even expected to make an appearance sometime before Christmas. It will be so nice to see him. The girls will have the perfect Christmas, it will be just as they want it, with all of their family in the same house. If it was up to them all of the family would live in one big house and never leave. Their mother will be here for 4 days to spend the holiday with them. That will be very nice for them, a little uncomfortable for me, but it isn't me that matters now is it. It is all about the girls. I want to do for them whatever makes them happy and secure. Smith Family Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving, except for the fact that I was battling a horrible sinus infection and was all drugged up! LOL! It was wonderful to all be together for our first holiday! The day after Thanksgiving we decided to decorate our Christmas Tree since both of "our" big girls were with us. It was a lot of fun, you can see from the pictures!
